TIV at the 1st Trailer Colloquium at HTW Dresdenopie
With around 80 participants, the first Dresden Trailer Colloquium at HTW Dresden was a great success. The event impressively demonstrated the strong interest in interdisciplinary exchange within the commercial vehicle and trailer industry.
The Trailer Industry Association (TIV) was represented by Karlheinz Spägele and Gunnar Bregler, who contributed the perspective of manufacturers of O1 and O2 category trailers to the discussions.
A particular highlight was the welcome address delivered by Gunnar Bregler, who outlined the current challenges and opportunities facing the industry. His remarks once again underlined the importance of close cooperation between industry, academia, and policymakers in shaping the future of mobility.
In addition to the high-quality technical presentations, the evening networking session provided valuable opportunities for personal exchange. Numerous discussions led to new contacts, inspiring ideas, and the first steps toward future collaborations.
Particularly encouraging: Initial foundations have already been established for closer cooperation between HTW Dresden, TIV, and leading companies in the industry.
Key topics for future collaboration include:
- Autonomous Driving
- Safety-Relevant Telematics and Telemetry
- CO₂ Reduction and Sustainable Transport Solution
The future of commercial vehicles and trailer technology will be shaped by innovation, digitalization, and sustainability. This makes it even more important to connect academia and industry at an early stage and work together on practical, market-oriented solutions.
We are already looking forward to the next edition of the Dresden Trailer Colloquium and to continuing our cooperation with all partners involved.
