TIV Board Discusses Strategic Lobbying

On 12 March 2026, the TIV Board convened for another working session. Attendees included Henk Sturme, Gunnar Bregler, Board Chair Michael Jursch, and Karlheinz Spägele, Chief Representative and Head of the Lobbying Working Group.

The session focused on the tasks of the working group. Its aim is to build a solid knowledge base for political advocacy and, on that basis, to develop a joint communication and action strategy for measures effectively bring the industry’s and its customers’ positions into politics, public administration, and the wider public debate. In addition, participants discussed current legislative developments and the political framework conditions.

The working group’s main focus is on to feed the industry’s concerns into political processes at an early stage, to constructively support decision-making, to strengthen long-term dialogue with political stakeholders, and to actively help shape the association’s future strategic direction.
