The Bohnenkamp company group is one of the leading wholesalers of tyres and wheels for professional use. The specialist dealer carries about 10,000 different products in its core areas of HGVs, small tyres and trailers, industry, agriculture and earthmoving, and has warehouse capacity of 114,000 qm  across Europe.

The company operates as a general importer for the brands Boka Trailer, BK-Trailer, BKT, Windpower and Alliance.

Employing over 400 people at corporate locations in 17 European countries, with subsidiary companies, branches or sales offices, the company has built a network that is capable of catering to individual customer needs. The goal is always to be as close as possible to customers – with good products, reliable service and rapid delivery.

Friedel Bohnenkamp founded the firm ‘Bohnenkamp Fahrzeugbedarf’ in 1950, with a focus on trade in axles and accessories. In 1992, the first branches were opened in Kletzin and Landshut. After the foundation of Bohnenkamp International in Modra, Slovakia, in 2006, Bohnenkamp continued to expand its international market presence at the beginning of 2010 with the takeover of Bohnenkamp Benelux B.V. In 2011, a new branch was opened in Leipzig and distribution in Hungary was expanded. Bohnenkamp Austria GesmbH and Bohnenkamp Suisse AG were founded in 2013 and 2014 respectively. In 2016, Bohnenkamp continued to expand on the international stage with its takeover of the STARCO Eastern Group and STARCO’s aftermarket business in Scandinavia, Benelux and Germany.

Since 2001 Bohnenkamp has been a joint stock company with Gisela Bohnenkamp as the sole shareholder. In December 2008 she set up the ‘Friedel and Gisela Bohnenkamp Foundation’ and transferred 50.5% of the shares to the foundation. The focus of the foundation’s work is the promotion of educational projects in the area of Osnabrück.

Today, with over 400 employees in 17 different locations, Bohnenkamp generates a turnover of 259 million euros (2016).
